Hi! We’re Mat & Sophie, the husband-and-wife team behind Second Shift Mechanical.

If you’re reaching out, chances are you’re dealing with a car that won’t start, needs servicing, or just isn’t running quite right. We’re here to make that easier.

Mat is your mechanic, qualified, reliable, and a bit obsessed with Nissans and motorsport. Sophie runs the admin, taking care of bookings, communication, and making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes.

We keep things simple, honest, and efficient. That means doing quality work, showing up when we say we will, and giving you upfront advice you can actually understand. No pushy upsells. No B.S.

We work across Logan, South Brisbane, Ipswich, and the northern Gold Coast. If you’re more than 25km from Logan Reserve, we may charge a travel fee, but you’re always welcome to ask.

And just so we’re clear:
We don’t tolerate abuse. If you’re abusive, we reserve the right to stop the job, finished or not. Everyone deserves a safe work environment, us included.
